Ski hire Alpe d`Huez - Alpe d'Huez is a ski resort which has very good snow conditions throughout the year because the Pic Blanc glacier at high altitude, above 3000 meters. Because almost all slopes in the ski area are on the south-side of the mountains the sun shines over these slopes all year round. The village of Alpe d'Huez itself is a combination of old-fashioned chalets and modern apppartement buidlings. For a more authentic-style ski resort, the surrounding villages offer a great choice. The villages around the Alpe d'Huez itself are: Huez, Villard-Reculas, Auris and Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans and Vaujany. The Alpe d'Huez ski resort is fantastic for advanced skiers because of the large number of black slopes. These are easily accessible to the modern skilifts, and a small cable-train. With the Sarene-slope this ski area includes one of the longest black slopes in the world. A non-stop descent of nearly 17 km ensures that you have a nice long and uninterrupted descent. For snowboarders, the broad slopes of the ski area very well suited, and there is often a possibility to board into the powdersnow to the left or right of the prepared slope. The Espace Freestyle snowpark as it is called, stretches out over more than 1.5 km and includes: 1 halfpipe with snowcanon, 1 quarterpipe, 2 funparks,High jump, Hips, Tables, Boardercross, and Quatters Hoops.
