Ski hire Les Gets - Les Gets is one of the finest ski resorts in the world, next to the Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva. Les Gets is one of the most rustic areas inside the immense ski resort of Les Portes du Soleil and is one of the few mountain villages that is touristic, yet has managed to keep most of its authentic atmosphere. The ski resort of Portes du Soleil is a collection of a 14 destinations in the Haute Savoie spread across France and Switzerland linked together. The winter sports area is enormous, the area has got 430 individual pistes, served by 209 ski lifts and is a veritable dream for the demanding Skifan and beginning skier. Plaine Dranse, perhaps the most beautiful slopes of the area, starting from Avoriaz is easily accessible. This valley has plenty to offer for every skiers and snowboarders of every skill level. Beginners often attract to the area around Le Pleney directly accessible by skitram or cabinelift. On of the most challenging slopes can be found around the famous Col de Joux Plane, where beautiful long black go all the way down into the valley. In the Swiss part is the Mur at Chavanette very challenging. Les Gets offers a ski holiday with everything a snowboarder could wish for. Few plate lifts, lots of off-piste opportunities and some great boardercross slopes and snowparks. The off-piste runs from the Col du Fornet are great, and offer almost all year round an abundence of powder. Snowboarders that like to descend past the tree lines can enjoy beautifull areas in the Les Gets Neighbourhood.
