Ski hire Valfrejus - Valfrejus is one of the newest resorts in the Alps and built on a skiing area called Arrondaz. It's close to Modane, the Frejus tunnel to Italy and situated above the old village of Charmaix. As with all of the later generation purpose built resorts, the architectural style is of a much higher standard than most of the better known areas which grew up in the sixties. Valfrejus has direct access to 52km of downhill skiing, with 20 individual pistes, served by 12 ski lifts. The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season. Because of the many offpiste possibilities, the ski area is especially popular with the experienced skiers. The ski slopes in Valfrejus are well distributed and the snow report is fantastic throughout the season. Even the slopes at great altitude such as the run from Punta Bagna is possible to descent for novice skiers. With some nice bars around a nice town square in Valfrejus, terraces can be enjoyed immediately after the skiing even in the beginning of the afternoon. There is a very cool snowpark in Valfrejus for snowboarders, as well as off-piste opportunities to dream of.
