Ski hire Valmeinier 1500 - Valmeinier 1500 is the older part of the town Valmeinier. Valmeinier lies in the south of the Savoie, in the Haute Maurienne. Combined with Valloire it forms a ski area. Valmeinier has a totally car-free village-center and consists of two different levels Valmeinier 1500 and Valmeinier 1800. At 1500 metres altitude, is the earlier part, where the villagers mainly live, and at 1800 metres altitude is a modern ski resort. Valmeinier has direct access to 150km of downhill skiing, with 78 individual pistes, served by 34 ski lifts. Most slopes are close to Valloire, but you can reach the ski slopes from Valmeinier with a short bus ride. For each level of skiing there is more than enough to find, from slopes for beginners to more advanced runs. The area has two internationally renowned competition runways with descent of 1000 and more than 600 meters, where even the absolute advanced are challenged to their limits. Valloire, and the connected Valmeinier, is a great place for a snowboarders holiday, with 1 halfpipe, 2 quarterpipes and a wonderful fun park for boarders, this is the place to be.
