Ski hire La Norma - La Norma lies in the beautiful woods of the Vanoise Massif in the middle of the Maurienne. La Norma has a car free village center, and offers a ski in ski out possibility from almost all accommodations. They consist primarily of fine wooden chalets ensuring that the village has maintained it's beautiful historical appearance. La Norma has direct access to 65km of downhill skiing, with 27 individual pistes. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season. Dominated by its peak 2917m, La Norma offers 700 hectares of ski slopes, stretching from an altitude of 1350m to 2750m. There are 65km of runs with 18 different ski lifts. The ski area starts at 1350m up to 2750m. La Norma has a 6km cross-country ski circuit. The nearest cross-country ski resort is Bramans, with 50km of trails for all abilities. Shuttle bus runs from La Norma to Bramans, a good area to discover by snow shoes, there are several footpaths leading out of La Norma, in particular the 34km Le Petit Bonheur footpath along which you can discover the Esseillon fortress, the baroque church of Avrieux and the villages of the Haute-Maurienne. This Maurienne resort has a terrain park at 2350m and boarding is permitted on almost every slope. La Norma itself offers several modules for snowboarders, such as a big-air, a quarterpipe and a freat fun park with all kinds of obstacles. In La Norma are further a numerous of activities from sledging and walks to cinema, shopping, discovery of the traditional art baroque and savoyard cooking.
